Very nice & the food was a hit. I took my fiance for her birthday & she loved it. Jake was our server & he was excellent. Definitely a keeper. I’d highly recommend coming & trying out several of the dishes. I had the crab cakes to start, then the salmon as my entree. Everything was cooked perfect.

We had an amazing time, Jake was a fantastic server who dealt with our big group of misfits. The food was so delicious, I personally had the biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs. The patio was a great ambiance, but unfortunately a sprouts employee would come over and sit and smoke right across from me. It seems the policy for sprouts is not to smoke in the back...

The place is great! We came a bit earlier than busy hours, and enjoyed the place, atmosphere and food! Toasted roasted were perfect, steak and my seafood were great! We didn't have dessert as there is nothing unique.

Went to Ember and Iron with family and friends last night. We were seated at a fun table overlooking the kitchen. It had been a while since we had been there. While we live in the area, we normally go to St Augustine or the San Marco/Avondale area for nicer dinners. Last night was a good reminder that Ember and Iron absolutely competes with the restaurants in those areas quite well. The 210 area has seen an emergence of higher end restaurants and Ember and Iron is the anchor of those places. While it is in a strip mall (like everything on 210), the inside is very open and modern. They have a tremendous bar with a great selection of spirits. I believe I noticed some bottles of Blantons gentlemen. My wife had the E&I margarita which was not too sweet nor too tart. The presentation was excellent. I had a Buffalo trace with a gentleman’s cube. For food, my lovely wife had the crab cakes with a beet salad which she very much enjoyed. I had the gator special as it sounded so unusual. I am not sure that the picture does it justice. Underneath the onions and beans was a braised gator. Our server mentioned that it was a lot like pulled pork and she was absolutely correct. In fact, if you told me it pork, I never would have guessed otherwise. The beans and chili gave it a chili like flavor and it was fun to use the fried plantains to scoop up delicious food. There was zero gaminess to the taste. For the desert, the table shared a cornbread bread pudding which was solid though I would not recommend it. Overall, Ember and Iron is a great place and should definitely be a place that should be a regular visit for north St Johns residents and a place to try for everyone outside of the area.

Absolutely loved my experience at this restaurant! The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, and the chimichurri steak had incredible flavor. The appetizers were a great start, and the flourless chocolate cake for dessert was the perfect ending. Highly recommend this place for amazing food and great service!

Our server, Nina, did a great job letting us know about the specials and making sure our cocktails were made to our liking.

We loved our experience and would definitely come back! Food and service were on point. The place is swanky but not stuffy. Crowd who goes there seems to be older.

I recently dined at Ember & Iron and had a generally enjoyable experience. The ambiance was fantastic, with a cozy yet modern vibe that made for a relaxing meal. The staff provided excellent service, attentive without being overbearing, and made sure we had everything we needed. We started with some appetizers, and I have to say, they were a highlight of the meal. Each dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented, setting the bar high for the rest of the meal. However, the burger was a bit of a letdown, despite having a great flavor profile. The patty was juicy and well-seasoned, but the bun was soggy, which detracted from the overall texture. It definitely could have benefited from being toasted for a bit more crunch and structure. All in all, a great spot for appetizers and a nice atmosphere, but I’d suggest they work on perfecting the burger for the full experience.
